Death Valley National Park USA, is located in eastern California, near the border with Nevada and is the lowest (at 86 meters below sea level) in the Western Hemisphere and the hottest place on Earth. Prior to her about three hours drive from Los Angeles. In the southern part of Death Valley is a flat, smooth clay plain – the bottom of a dry lake Racetrack Playa – which is called the Valley of moving stones (Racetrack Playa). By the very phenomenon encountered in this area – “self-propelled” stones.

<img class="alignright"src="http://www.edotmagazine.com/img/nature/moving_stones_natural_phenomenon/moving_stones.jpg" alt="" width="610px" />

Something weird is going on in Death Valley. Huge boulders themselves crawling along the bottom of a dry lake. They can not harm anyone, and they are creeping and crawling. No one saw how they move. And yet they persistently crawl, if alive, occasionally turning over from side to side, leaving a trail stretching for tens of meters.

These unusual protrusions called turbidites. They are located on the coast of the Spanish city of Barrick, which in the north bordering the Bay of Biscay. This formation of sedimentary rocks formed in the deep-water conditions. This is the place where it was bottom of an ancient ocean. Currently, this place was chosen by photographers and tourists. It is very unusual to observe the turbidites at low tide.
